While just out for some wheeling around noon this day I observed many people on a lunch break. Some eating with friends or coworkers, others alone just looking for a moment to clear their head. This man appeared to be the later.
I’ve been enjoying using it and the quick two way communication that can occur between people with it. I’ve had a few people follow me, but I suspect a number are forms of spam. Maybe I’m wrong though, but by the thousands of people they follow there is no way to possibly keep up with everyone so it must be spam, a bot or something of that nature.
In case you didn’t notice my tweets are in the right side bar of my site — yes, just to the right of this post — so those who don’t follow me on Twitter can still read my micro blogs… or at least the last five. Since I usually only say something two or three times a day you won’t miss much if you check every few days. Even then, what I say on Twitter is seldom revolutionary but you may be interested in what I say there, but not here.
Thought I better get a few shots of our Poochie. Her fur is so cute on her face right now, but for the heat it’s too long so next Friday she gets a trim.
I took another similar shot. The setup, including stone & grub arrangement, food colouring mishaps, lighting setup and actual shooting took over four hours. I like it better than the first in some ways and less in others. Even though chartreuse water didn’t look as good as the blue, it’s more common as a bait colour. I think this will be the final cut because of the separation the blinds and deck view provide. I find I need to look for a few minutes to see everything. That was my goal, but I appreciate your opinions.
Here is the unnamed photo (thinking about: Bait Cup, Seafood Cocktail, Fish Ambrosia or something of that nature):
I’d had this photo in mind for months and the completed version is a ways from being posted. I plan to call it something like Psychedelic Shrimp Cocktail but until I have made it, here is my bait cup and an Epic Win straight from old school Sesame Street.
As much as I don’t care for Conan O’Brien he, or his writers, were correct. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube might as well join forces to create the world’s biggest time wasting site and call it YouTwitFace.
My shots from this past Sunday’s fundraiser. It was a great day. Hot, but fun and the steak night was excellent. Hoping to start hanging out with a few guys I got to know better on Sunday. One will be in London, England for the summer, but he’s an amateur photog too and we have projects in mind.
This is Paul gearing up. He’s one of the guys I looking forward to getting to know better.
Duncan is the guy going to the UK for the summer and possibly his life after university. We must get to the forrestry farm for a wheel and some photos before he leaves.
The dancers, from the UoS School of Dance, were just awesome.
I just finished watching a comedy video by the name of “The Curse of Cheddar Bay”. It took place in a Red Lobster restaurant somewhere in North America where a man dressed in a raincoat and captain’s attire came in, ordered a dark ale and began to tell his story of The Curse of Cheddar Bay. It was on a dark stormy night that the most dangerous catch was a horrible gigantic crab that ate his three boys and returned to the sea. Before he could finish telling his story three guys dressed up in huge crab costume came past the front of the restaurant and in the door where the captain proceeded to slay the beast. Once dead his three boys emerged from the stomach of this creature and they were reunited. By the end of this video the staff, but particularly the manager, were quite unsure what to do to resolve the situation of these pranksters. It was actually quite a funny and harmless video.
The same cannot be said for all of them that I have seen. From a group of 200 people who dressed up in blue polo shirts and khakis and paraded around Best Buy, looking like every single one of the employees in the store:
Or one that I saw recently where if you doesn’t people put on MC Hammer style parachute pants and went from store to store dancing in said style,
I would not want to be one of the managers faced with an uncontrollable mob of people on such a silly mission. I see many others that bothered me because of their destructive nature but these were pretty harmless.
I’m doubtful that this type of thing happened before everybody had a digital camera or camcorder and the easiest access to websites where this can be posted for the whole world to see. Getting your 15 seconds, formerly 15 minutes, of fame is easier than ever these days.
It has been a few weeks, but I’ve been working. Just haven’t had time to post.
After a trip to the zoo today and the Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion fundraiser tomorrow I should have plenty to share this coming week. But for now, please enjoy Dieffenbachia and School Picture.
